Office of the Vice President for Academic Research



The OVPAR is in charge of suggesting to the University President policies, strategies, guidelines, and budgetary allocations for research, innovation, and extension, among other things. The VPAR is also responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and monitoring of all research, innovation, and extension projects, as well as the relevant institutional collaborations.

MISSION




In support of PTC's Vision, the OVPAA actualizes the delivery of technologically proficient instructions through decision-making that is effective, efficient, and collegial, as well as transparency in the administrative system and academic affairs operation.

OBJECTIVES




  • Empower deans, directors, and department chairs to manage academic and academic-related matters in their respective units to achieve efficient and effective participative governance.
  • Facilitate accreditation of all degree programs to achieve the highest academic standards set by the accrediting body.
  • Direct the development of new and relevant course proposals, as well as the ongoing examinations of existing curricular offerings, with a focus on vertical articulation to generate graduates who are employable in their field.
  • Enhance teacher competence through faculty development programs.
